Matlab default image – nice story for 5 min of your MATLAB fantime.

Yes, I have been using MATLAB™ a lot. For pretty much everything, starting with my research and ending with .gif production from print-screens. Deciphering some pass-codes for Ingress somewhere in the middle of all that.

During my master’s studies in Ventspils, we discovered that not initializing variable ‘image’ and still using it, yields a weird default picture of bad resolution. Easter-egg was remembered and stayed together with all the other useless knowledge I have…

Today I stumbled upon this piece of information:
http://blogs.mathworks.com/steve/2006/10/17/the-story-behind-the-matlab-default-image/

The guy responsible of this piece of hidden treasures explains his motives and all the other pictures that are hidden there as well.
Nice read for a leisure moment😉

enjoy
